DEATH NOTICE
Mr. Leslie ‘Shane’ Hollinrake from Hawkesbury passed away surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at the age of 51.
He was the beloved husband for over 23 years of Vickie Hollinrake;
the cherished father of Rebekah, Sarah, Olivia, Elijah and Chayah;
dear brother of Francis, Sharie, Beth, Brian, James and Bethany.
He was predeceased by his daughter Angel Faith, his father Leslie Hollinrake and his mother Sharon Belanger.
He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416 McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511.
A funeral service will take place in private in the spring.

Shane was a true believer in God who held a big place in his life. He loved his children, his wife and his friends who will miss him very dearly. He loved to stay active in his life weather that be to play guitar, go fishing or take road trips with his wife and children.

Shane sera grandement manqué. Il était un vrai des vrais et un de mes meilleurs amis en plus qu'un bon musicien/guitariste. Il était considéré comme un frère et très passionné envers Celui qui S'est donné pour nous sur la Croix. Je crois fortement qu'il est maintenant avec Jésus au Paradis avec ceux qui ont persévéré dans leur foi avant lui et qu'il attends pour ces aimés de lui rejoindre un jour. Je réjouis en espoir de se revoir un jour Guerrier du Très Haut.

In Loving Memory of Shane My beloved husband, Shane, was a powerful preacher—a man truly on fire for God. He came into my life and delivered the very message my soul needed, and I know without doubt that God chose him to be my soulmate and my armor-bearer. We were joined in holy matrimony in 2002, beginning a journey rooted in faith, love, and service to the Lord. From Texas to Canada, Shane faithfully served both God and the United States Army. He dedicated six honorable years to military service, working on aviation projects with excellence and integrity. Shane was a true soldier—strong, disciplined, and courageous—and an amazing father. Together, God blessed us with six children born alive, along with a few precious little ones who had already gone ahead and were waiting to welcome him home. Shane was a devoted and loving father, a stay-at-home homeschooling dad who poured his heart into raising our children in the ways of the Lord. He was an anointed praise guitarist who loved nothing more than worshiping God through music, offering praise straight from his heart. His life was marked by compassion—he was always helping anyone he saw in need and was filled with genuine love for others. He served not for recognition, but because Christ lived within him. At home, Shane was a talented chef who blessed our family through his creativity and care in the kitchen. He was also an avid fisherman who found peace and joy in God’s creation. He cherished his friendships deeply and was especially grateful for his dear friends Nick, Dominique, Bill, Eddy, Joe L. Bernard, and so many others whose lives he touched. Though our hearts grieve his passing, we rejoice in the assurance that Shane has finished his race and is now in the presence of his Savior. He will be greatly missed, but his faith, love, and legacy will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know him. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7 I will always miss you, Shane. I was very glad that Shane is Jesus Believer and in that reservation I know I will see him around in Paradise Heaven with God's radiant warmth of beaming Light what a JOY to see the Beautiful Heaven with Glorious and Mighty God we Serve!
