DEATH NOTICE
Mr. Jean-Guy Madore of Hawkesbury passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026, at the age of 91.
He was the loving husband of the late Céline Laflamme;
the son of the late Romuald Madore and the late Laurette Labelle;
the beloved father of the late baby Micheline, Jean (Francine Nantel), and Francine (Marc Girard);
the adored grandfather of Tania (Jordan Hebert), Jean-Christophe, Marc-Olivier (Jessica Ducharme), Marie-France (Michael Massie), and the great-grandfather of Raphaëlle;
the dear brother of Rachel.
He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
He is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Jean-Guy worked as an insurance adjuster in the Hawkesbury area, where he was appreciated for his professionalism and dedication.
Jean-Guy deeply cherished the moments spent with his family, particularly at the family cottage on Moon Lake in Brownsburg, Chatham, Quebec. These moments of renewal will remain forever etched in the hearts of his loved ones, leaving behind precious memories.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Salon Funéraire Familial Berthiaume, 416 McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511.
The funeral service will be held at Saint-Pierre-Apôtre Parish in Hawkesbury on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 11 a.m. The family will be present starting at 10:30 a.m. to receive your condolences.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society, P.O. Box 1852, Cornwall, Ontario, K6H 6N6, would be appreciated.
The funeral home will make a donation in memory of your loved one to the food bank.
