DEATH NOTICE
Mr. André Larocque of Hawkesbury passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the age of 76.
He was the loving husband of Danielle Larocque (née Lafond);
the son of the late Leonidas Larocque and Georgina Picard Presseault;
the beloved brother of Lyne (Sylvain Berthelet) and Jean.
He is also survived by his wife’s children, Olivier, Julien, and David, as well as their children: Cenedra, Nicholas, Layla, and Victor.
He is also survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Hawkesbury General Hospital for the excellent care provided.
André Larocque will be remembered as a man passionate about music, whose talent and generosity touched everyone who knew him. Whether playing acoustic guitar, electric guitar, or bass, he always found a way to touch the hearts of those around him. More than just a musician, André loved sharing his passion with his family, creating precious moments filled with songs, laughter, and unforgettable memories. His love of music will continue to resonate through those who had the chance to hear him play and spend time with him.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Salon Funéraire Familial Berthiaume, 416 McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511; a service will be held at St. Alphonse Cemetery on Tuesday, June 9, at 11 a.m.
Donations to the Hawkesbury General Hospital Foundation, 1111 Ghislain Street, Hawkesbury, Ontario, K6A 3G5, would be appreciated.
The funeral home will make a donation in memory of your loved one to the food bank.
