DEATH NOTICE
Mr. Régent Léonard de Plantagenet passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the age of 75.
He was the loving husband of Christiane Léonard (née Sabourin);
the son of the late Adrien Léonard and the late Andrée Mantha;
the beloved father of Patrick and Dominik (Tom Smith);
the adored grandfather of Mia, Brody, Joèl, and Lila;
the dear brother of Diane (the late Jacques Brunet), Raynald, Sylvain (Jessy), France (Terry Poulter) of Calgary, Manon, and Josée (Angela).
He was predeceased by two brothers: Yves (the late Louise) and Jean.
He is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hawkesbury General Hospital for their excellent care.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416 McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511. A memorial service will be held at St. Alphonse Cemetery on Monday, June 8, at 1:30 p.m.
For those who wish to make a donation, contributions to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 300-885 Meadowlands Drive East, Ottawa, Ontario, K2C 3N2, would be appreciated.
The funeral home will make a donation in memory of your loved one to the food bank.
