DEATH NOTICE
Mr. Rémi Gauthier of L'Orignal, originally from Alma, Quebec, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the age of 74.
He was the loving husband of Lucie Mongeau Gauthier;
the son of the late Albert Gauthier and the late Cécile Lapointe;
the beloved father of Jean-François (Yelitza DeJesus) and Benoit;
the adored grandfather of Yorick, Ysabella, Ysaack, Ylan, and Téo;
the dear brother of Germaine, Henriette, Fernand, Nicole, Micheline, Diane, Pauline, Roger, Johanne, Claude, and Serge.
He was predeceased by his brother Réjean.
He is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hawkesbury General Hospital for the excellent care provided.
The family invites relatives and friends to the Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416 McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511, on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a celebration of life.
For those who wish, donations to the Alzheimer Society, P.O. Box 1852, Cornwall, Ontario, K6H 6N6, would be appreciated.
