Service location :
Private
Charity : Foundation of the Montreal Heart Institute

DEATH NOTICE

Murielle Poulin (née Amyotte) of Val-d'Or passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at the age of 87.

She was the beloved mother of Louise (François) and Claude (Minako), as well as the adored grandmother of Reika, Léanne, and Noémie. She has gone to be with her dear husband, Raymond Poulin, her parents, Alex Amyotte and Justine Soucy, and her seven brothers and sisters.

She is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and many friends.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Unit 4 North at the Montreal Heart Institute for the excellent care, dedication, and kindness they provided.

In accordance with her wishes, a private family ceremony will be held.

Above all, her family held the greatest place in her heart. She took great joy in following the lives of her three granddaughters, watching their accomplishments with curiosity and pride.
Murielle was a true epicurean, a woman who fully savored life and all the joys it had to offer.

Naturally cheerful, she had a gift for making those around her smile, right up until her final days in the hospital, where she still managed to cheer up the nursing staff. Her sharp wit was also reflected in her love of puns, which she always delivered with humor.

She also had a special fondness for owls, of which she had built up an impressive collection over the years.

Passionate about cooking and baking, she loved to experiment, adapt recipes, and create new dishes that she happily shared with others.

Proud and always stylish, Murielle loved to take care of her appearance.

Her memory will remain forever etched in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Montreal Heart Institute (5000 Bélanger Street, Montreal, Quebec H1T 1C8) would be greatly appreciated.
