DEATH NOTICE

Carmen Larocque of Sherbrooke (originally from Hawkesbury) passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the age of 92.
She was the loving wife of the late Louis Audet;
the daughter of the late Léopold Larocque and the late Délisca Lacelle;
the beloved mother of Micheline (Gary McCone) and Jacques;
the adored grandmother of Derek, Scott, Randi, and Stéphanie, and the great-grandmother of Maeva, Darcy, James, Owen, Noah, and Rose;
the dear sister of Sergine (late Jean-Jacques Maynard, late Paul Larocque);
She was predeceased by three brothers: Raymond (late Marcelle), Marcel “Joe” (late Alice), and Bernard.
She is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Aube Lumière palliative care residence in Sherbrooke for their support and excellent care.
Originally from Hawkesbury, Carmen chose to settle in Sherbrooke to build a life there with her beloved husband. She worked as an administrative assistant at the University of Sherbrooke. Carmen was a calm, gentle, and composed woman who appreciated life’s simple pleasures, especially losing herself in the pages of a good book. She will forever remain in the hearts of her children and grandchildren, who will cherish the memory of her presence and tenderness. We will miss her deeply. Rest in peace, Carmen, and may you be reunited with Louis.
The family invites family and friends to the Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416 McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511, on Saturday, October 17, starting at 12:00 p.m. A service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 p.m.
For those who wish to do so, donations to Aube Lumière, 3071 12th Ave N, Sherbrooke, Quebec J1H 5H3, would be appreciated.
The funeral home will make a donation to the food bank in memory of your loved one.
