C'est avec une grande tristesse que la famille annonce le décès de Doreen Brannen, de Vankleek Hill, survenu le jeudi 11 juin 2026, à l'âge de 80 ans.
Doreen était une femme forte et dévouée qui abordait tout ce qu'elle entreprenait avec détermination et attention. Qu'il s'agisse de faire du bénévolat lors d'un événement communautaire ou de participer à un projet local, elle donnait toujours le meilleur d'elle-même et était fière de mener les choses à bien. D'un grand cœur et généreuse, elle veillait toujours sur les autres, s'assurant que son entourage soit pris en charge et soutenu. Doreen adorait le pickleball et s'assurait de toujours aller sur le terrain au moins une fois par semaine. Aux côtés de son mari, Ron, elle était très impliquée dans la communauté et consacrait d'innombrables heures aux événements et causes locales.
S'il y avait une chose que Doreen aimait par-dessus tout, c'était les chevaux. Sa passion pour ces animaux remarquables ne s'est jamais éteinte, et ils ont toujours occupé une place particulière dans son cœur.
Doreen laisse derrière elle son mari bien-aimé depuis plus de 61 merveilleuses années, Ron Brannen ; ses filles adorées, Tracy-Anne (Anthony) et Jodi-Lynn (Jason) ; ses petits-enfants bien-aimés, Chloé (Tyler) et Lexie ; son arrière-petit-fils, Keegan ; ses frères, Chris (Marg) et Peter (Shea) ; et sa sœur, Judy (Pierre).
Elle restera également dans la mémoire de ses nombreux beaux-frères, belles-sœurs, cousins, nièces, neveux et amis.
La famille tient à exprimer sa sincère gratitude au personnel de l’hôpital général de Hawkesbury pour les soins exceptionnels, la compassion et l’attention qu’ils ont prodigués à Doreen.
Les arrangements funéraires ont été confiés au salon funéraire Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, situé au 416, rue McGill, à Hawkesbury, en Ontario (877) 632-8511.
Une cérémonie funéraire aura lieu à une date ultérieure dans l'intimité.
Pour ceux qui le souhaitent, des dons à la Société canadienne du cancer, 113, 2e Rue Est, niveau inférieur, unité n° 1, Cornwall, Ontario, K6H 1W5 et/ou à la Banque alimentaire de Hawkesbury, 419, boulevard Cartier, Hawkesbury, ON K6A 1M4, seraient appréciés.

Although I only got to know Doreen for a short time it was packed with many happy memories of volunteer work (Vacation Bible School, Food Bank and Christmas baskets). This deepened with our shared interest in cardmaking, books and crafts. I will miss her cheery calls and our many cups of tea as we met on a regular basis, Prayers for peace and healing for the family. She will be sorely missed.
