AVIS DE DÉCÈS
HELEN JOAN BARRON (née Garland) est décédée paisiblement entourée de sa famille le 26 juillet 2024 à l'âge de 98 ans, à deux jours de son 99e anniversaire. Joan laisse dans le deuil ses chers enfants Brian, Kevin (Roberta) et Jennifer, ses petits-enfants Clara, Simon, Liam, Daphne, Alexa et Rachel, ainsi que ses arrière-petits-enfants Chloe, Desmond, Soren et Oona. Joan est précédée par son mari aimant, Edward Hal Barron, avec qui elle a partagé sa vie pendant 65 merveilleuses années. Daphne, la fille aînée de Joan, Elgin, le fils cadet de Joan, et Anna, la chère épouse de Brian depuis 42 ans, nous manquent tous cruellement. Joan était la fille de Richard et Helen Bernice (née Milway) Garland d'Avoca, au Québec, et la sœur cadette du père Peter Garland, pasteur fondateur de l'église catholique St-Jude de Hawkesbury.
Joan a été un fier membre de l'Association des dames de St-Jude pendant de nombreuses décennies et a été active toute sa vie dans sa communauté en tant que bénévole dans les écoles de ses enfants, à l'Hôpital du district de Hawkesbury et à la Bibliothèque publique de Hawkesbury. Nous remercions tout spécialement Chantal L, Sandra B, Sandra F et Louise A qui ont pris soin de Joan dans les années qui ont suivi le décès de Hal, ainsi que la merveilleuse équipe du Manoir Maxville qui a rendu les dernières années de Joan si confortables.
Les arrangements funéraires ont été confiés à la Maison funéraire familiale Berthiaume 416 McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511.
