DEATH NOTICE
Nicole Lafontaine of Hawkesbury passed away, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the age of 80.
She was the daughter of the late Sylvio Lafontaine and the late Simone Dicaire;
the beloved mother of Sylvain, the late Patrick, and Pascal (Lucie);
the adored grandmother of Ève and Simon;
the dear sister of Gilles (Muguette Lalonde) and Louise (Jack Quesnel).
She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
She is also survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
It is with sadness that we pay tribute to Nicole Lafontaine, a woman with a big heart whose talent for interior design illuminated every space she touched. Endowed with remarkable taste and a true gift for creating warm and harmonious spaces, she knew how to transform a home into a place filled with life and beauty. Her elegance, creativity, and generosity will remain etched in the memories of all who had the good fortune to know her. Her memory will continue to inspire and brighten hearts, just as she brightened the spaces around her.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Lyne Arsenault for the excellent care provided.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Salon Funéraire Familial Berthiaume, 416 McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511. A celebration will be held at St-Alphonse Cemetery on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 10:30 a.m.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 2300 Yonge Street, Suite 1200, P.O. Box 2414, Toronto, ON, M4P 1E4, would be appreciated.
The funeral home will make a donation in memory of your loved one to the food bank.
